Supervisor Pat Herrity was on WMAL’s Mornings on Mall radio program today, defending Fairfax County Library Trustee Philip Rosenthal. Herrity appointed Rosenthal to the library board in 2018.
The “woke” Left is calling for Rosenthal to resign following his calls for greater ideological diversity on the library website. Jeff McKay, the far-left chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, wants to force Rosenthal off the board, if legally possible.
Political Correctness Impeding Diversity

Goya Food Drive a Great Success
Last week’s Goya Food Drive was a great success, thanks to many dozens of Fairfax GOP donors and volunteers. More than 1,000 items — including nearly 100 pounds of rice and flour — were donated to local food banks.
The drive, which ran from July 11 through July 19, was conceived in response to leftist calls for a boycott of Goya Foods after CEO Robert Unanue hailed President Donald Trump’s Hispanic Prosperity Initiative, which aims to expand educational options and economic opportunities for Hispanics nationwide.
Fairfax GOP Launches Goya Food Drive
The Fairfax GOP launched a “Goya Food Drive” over the weekend, with more than 200 items already collected as of Sunday, July 12. The drive will run through Sunday, July 19, after which all items will be donated to a local food bank.
