Fairfax County Republican Priscilla DeStefano was featured this week on ChoiceMedia.tv, the nation’s “education homepage.” Ms. DeStefano, who ran last year for the Board of Education, lauded President Donald Trump’s recent comments on the moral imperative of school choice.
“A child’s ZIP code in America should never determine their future, and that’s what was happening,” President Trump said on Tuesday. “All children deserve equal opportunity because we are all made equal by God.”
Ms. DeStefano called President Trump’s remarks “spot-on,” noting that minority students in particular need and deserve educational options. “No parent should be forced to send their child to an underperforming school just because that’s where they live,” she added.
