Virginians spoke with a clear voice — they voted for better schools, safer streets, a lower cost of living, and more jobs — and they expect us to deliver, on Day One. The leadership team of Todd Gilbert, Terry Kilgore, and Jay Leftwich elected today by the Virginia House Republican Caucus is best positioned to work with the Virginia Democrats to get results for Virginians.
The entire Virginia House of Delegates will be well served with the nomination and future election of Todd Gilbert as speaker. Todd is an incredibly devoted public servant and will be an exceptional steward of one of the oldest legislative bodies in the Western Hemisphere.
