In last week’s edition of Conversations that Count, the Fairfax GOP’s Srilekha Palle interviewed two local moms — Elizabeth McCauley and Tyler Ohta — who are organizing to defend their kids’ safety and secure their future.
McCauley and Ohta lead the Virginia Mavens, a network of concerned mothers who share commonsense, conservative values that was founded in July 2020. “I thought, I’ve got to find some other moms — there has got to be others who feel the same way I do,” Ohta recalls.
“Our end goal is to get moms involved in the political process — and eventually to get moms to run for office,” McCauley said.
