LG Winsome Sears Condemns Efforts to Intimidate Judges
Virginia Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears joined Thursday’s edition of Fox & Friends to discuss the Left’s efforts to harass and intimidate U.S. Supreme Court justices. “This is mob rule,” Sears lamented. “This is America, we don’t do this.”
Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano has rebuffed calls to establish security perimeters around the homes of justices who reside in the county. Sears blasted Descano as well as the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors for their continued refusal to enforce Virginia law.
Omission of Oaths in Election 2021: A Fairfax Problem or Statewide?
The former General Registrar of the Fairfax County Office of Elections and the Fairfax Electoral Board did not obtain legally required oaths that attest to the proper printing and delivery of the ballots for the 2021 election, until months after that election occurred. Some oaths required by law may not have been obtained at all for 2021 or earlier elections. These oaths, required from the printer and from the Electoral Board representatives overseeing the printer, are important parts of the Chain of Custody documentation for ballots in every election.
INTERVIEW: AG Miyares Blasts Descano’s “Criminal First” Mindset
Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares is blasting Fairfax Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano’s “criminal first, victim last” record. On Wednesday’s O’Connor & Company radio show, Miyares called Descano a “hopelessly naive,” “wannabe prosecutor” who is “failing” to do his job.
The attorney general’s blistering comments followed Tuesday’s arrest of Gerald Brevard, who is alleged to have shot a number of homeless men in DC and New York.
INTERVIEW: Rory Cooper on School Board Recalls
Local parent-activist Rory Cooper joined Thursday’s Vince Coglianese Show to discuss the grassroots, citizen-led efforts to remove Fairfax County School Board members Elaine Tholen, Laura Jane Cohen, and Abrar Omeish.
After more than 5,000 valid signatures to recall Elaine Tholen were submitted, the case to remove the embattled school board member was dismissed on August 20 — at the request of Albemarle Commonwealth’s Attorney James Hingely.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Refuses to Advance Tholen Recall Case
“Parents proved today that we can mount a massive grassroots effort to gather thousands of signatures to recall a school board member. We are pleased to have won in court, but unfortunately it appears the fix was in when Mr. Descano handpicked his replacement from Albemarle County, James Hingely,” said Dee O’Neal, Open FCPS Coalition founder.
