Over the summer, Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) paid Critical Race Theory advocate Ibram X. Kendi $20,000 for a one-hour Zoom call. In addition, FCPS paid Kendi $24,000 for copies of his books on race. The lucrative contract between Kendi and the county schools was uncovered by investigative journalist Asra Nomani.

Today, so many Virginians like me are shocked and outraged by this man’s disregard for human life and blatant racial insensitivity. Because he does not embrace the core principle of the sanctity of life, we shouldn’t be so surprised.
