Delegate Tim Hugo (R, VA-40) and former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli will speak on state and national political issues at the next Fairfax County Republican Committee (FCRC) meeting to be held at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, June 19, in the Food Services Cafeteria – Building CF on the NOVA Annandale Campus, 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA 22003.

Delegate Hugo was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates with almost 70% of the vote in 2002. He is currently third in leadership in the House of Delegates, serving as Majority Caucus Chairman. He also serves on the Commerce and Labor, Transportation, Finance, and Privileges and Elections committees.

Tim previously served as the President of CapNet – a technology association dedicated to educating and electing public officials who recognized the concerns of the technology community. He has also served as the Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, where he worked closely with the Chairman on groundbreaking national transportation legislation (“TEA-21’’).

During the Administration of President George H. W. Bush, he was the Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs.

Delegate Hugo is a lifelong Virginian and 30-year resident of Fairfax County. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary and received a Kodak Fellowship for the Senior Managers in Government Program, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He also served honorably in the United States Army. He and his wife Paula live in Clifton, Virginia, with their four children.

Ken Cuccinelli is the current President of the Senate Conservatives Fund where he is committed to helping elect the next wave of principled leaders. Throughout his entire career, he has been a tireless advocate for the freedoms that make our nation great.

Cuccinelli was the 2013 Republican gubernatorial candidate of Virginia. Prior to running for governor, Ken served as the state’s Attorney General where he was a stalwart champion for the conservative movement fighting Obamacare, amnesty for illegal immigrants, and wasteful government spending. He was a no-nonsense Attorney General putting away countless criminals, gang members, and rapists.

For almost eight years, Cuccinelli was a public servant in the Virginia State Senate where he opposed big government and stood up for strong family values.

Ken holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Virginia, a master’s degree from George Mason University, and a juris doctor from George Mason University School of Law. He is a devoted Catholic who is married with seven children and resides in Virginia.

Route Instructions for the Meeting Site

  • Note free parking is in the B parking lot.
  • To get from the B parking lot to the meeting site in the cafeteria, one must enter the Ernst Building (Building CE) and then walk through an inside tunnel and hallway to the cafeteria (Building CF). We’ll post signs along the route.
