Sizemore Heizer received 10,611 votes (66.99%), defeating Republican Ken Balbuena, who earned 4,738 votes (29.91%), and independent Carey Chet Campbell, who received 451 votes (2.85%).
Fairfax County reports nearly 18% turnout for Braddock District voters. Tuesday’s special election was the fourth time voters in the county have visited the polls this year.
The seat on the Board of Supervisors was left vacant after former supervisor James Walkinshaw was elected to Congress in September.
