Virginia holds elections every year. This year’s elections are for your state, county and school board representatives.

When is the election?

Early Voting begins on Friday, September 22nd and continues until Saturday, November 4th.

Monday, October 16th (5 PM in person, 11:50 PM online, or postmarked by 10/16) is the last day to register or update your voter registration.

Tuesday, October 17th – Saturday, November 4th voters may apply to register to vote and cast a provisional ballot at any Early Voting location. Voters may apply to register and vote with a provisional ballot on Election Day, Tuesday, November 7th.

Friday, October 27th – DEADLINE to apply for an Absentee Ballot.

Election Day – Tuesday, November 7th. Vote in person at your assigned precinct polling place. Polls are open from 6:00AM – 7:00PM.

Who can vote absentee?

What’s on my ballot?

All Virginia state Senators, state Delegates, your Fairfax County Representatives, School Board Representatives and Soil & Water Board Directors will be on the 2023 ballot. There will also be a school bond question.
