Virginia House District 42 Meeting to Elect Nominee

Update: The Mass Meeting of the 42nd House of Delegates District of the Republican Party of Virginia Is Cancelled!

“As Chairman of the 42nd House of Delegates Legislative District Committee of the Republican Party, and pursuant to The Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Marta E. Delacre, do hereby cancel the LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT MASS MEETING of the 42ndDelegate District that was to be held at Knights of Columbus, 8592 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, Virginia 22309.

“Only one candidate, Steven P. Adragna, filed a written statement of intent with the required filing fee and notarized voter signatures by the filing deadline of 5:00 PM, April 3, 2019. Per the Call for the Mass Meeting, Steven P. Adragna is the Republican nominee for the 42nd Delegate District.”


The Republican Party of Virginia’s 42nd Delegate District Committee will hold a mass meeting at 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 25 at the Knights of Columbus in Alexandria (8592 Richmond Highway).

The purpose of the meeting is to nominate a Republican candidate for the office of Delegate to run in the general election scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2019 (click here for the official meeting notice).

The 42nd Delegate District covers parts of Fairfax County. Only Republicans in the 42nd Delegate District can participate in the mass meeting. The Fairfax County precincts in the 42nd Delegate District follow:

  • Braddock District: Cardinal, Keene Mill
  • Mount Vernon District: Westgate, Gunston, Lorton, Newington, Laurel Hill, South County
  • Springfield District: Sydenstricker, Hunt Valley, Valley, Orange, Irving, Sangster, Silverbrook, West Springfield, Fountainhead, South Run
