J.D. Maddox, the GOP candidate for House of Delegates in Virginia’s 45th District, joined the Fairfax GOP’s Vinson Palathingal and Srilekha Palle for a wide-ranging, issues-focused conversation Saturday evening.
The 45th District includes the City of Alexandria, as well as portions of Fairfax County and Arlington County. Maddox has deep roots in the district. “As a father, business owner, veteran, former federal employee, and volunteer, J.D. has lived and served in District 45 for 20 years,” his website notes. By contrast, Elizabeth Bennett-Parker, the Democrat nominee, moved into the district just one month before declaring her candidacy.
If elected, Maddox intends to focus on solving what he calls the district’s “long-neglected problems,” including “ailing schools, unchecked road congestion, urban sprawl, retail failure, a sewer system that pollutes the Potomac River, and a sub-par IT system.”
