The Fairfax GOP hosted a virtual, “socially distant” debate on Saturday, featuring all three candidates seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate: Alissa Baldwin; Daniel Gade; and Thomas Speciale. The candidates faced off in a “Facebook Live” forum, moderated by the Fairfax GOP’s Sean Rastatter.
Baldwin, a Lunenburg County schoolteacher, called herself a “Christian, Constitutional conservative — and a lifelong Virginian.” Gade, a disabled combat veteran who resides in Alexandria, vowed to defend individual liberty as Virginia’s Senator. Speciale, a 28-year Army veteran who lives in Woodbridge, said he was “the junkyard dog in this fight — and that’s what it’s going to take to beat Mark Warner.”
