The Fairfax GOP hosted a virtual, “socially distant” debate on Saturday, featuring the two candidates seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Congress in Virginia’s 8th District: Mark Ellmore and Jeff Jordan. The candidates faced off in a “Facebook Live” forum, moderated by the Fairfax GOP’s Sean Rastatter.
Ellmore, a financial professional with deep roots in the district, said that he would “restore balance” to Northern Virginia’s congressional delegation. Jordan, a U.S. Army veteran and defense contractor, vowed to “fight against socialism.”
The candidates tackled a wide variety of issues, ranging from the coronavirus outbreak to 2nd Amendment rights.
