Three Republicans are fighting for the chance to take down Mark Warner. One of them will get it — if you show up.
Kim Farington, Bert Mizusawa, and David Williams are on the U.S. Senate primary ballot. Early voting opens this Friday, June 18. The primary is August 4.
In Virginia’s 10th Congressional District, David Beckwith, Julie Perry, and Anthony Suttles are competing for the Republican nomination to face first-term Democrat Suhas Subramanyam — one of the most reliable Democrat votes in the U.S. House, and a target Republicans believe is winnable.
Both seats run through Fairfax. Both are held by Democrats. This primary is your only say in who fights for them in November.
Four dates. No excuses.
The Virginia Department of Elections has set the calendar:
Virginia doesn’t register by party — any registered voter can cast a Republican primary ballot. Miss the July 24 registration deadline? You can still register and vote same-day with a provisional ballot on August 4.
The math is simple.
Warner has held his Senate seat since 2008. Subramanyam votes with House Democrats almost without exception. These are two of the most important federal offices on Fairfax’s ballot — and Republicans have the chance to contest both.
But that only happens if the right nominee walks out of the August 4 primary.
Sit this one out, and a smaller slice of the electorate picks for you. Show up, and you help decide who carries the fight into November.
Confirm your ballot and polling location using the Fairfax GOP voter info tool before you go.
Early voting is opening! The primary is August 4. Don’t wait.
