Terry McAuliffe Snubs Law Enforcement

Terry McAuliffe will make Virginia less safe.

He did it once when his hand-picked parole board members let violent criminals back on our streets and when he oversaw a 43% increase in Virginia’s murder rate, and now the murder rate in Virginia is the highest in 20 years.

And now he’s snubbed a major partner in tackling Virginia’s crime problem by skipping a meeting with the Virginia Police Benevolent Association, which represents thousands of police officers in the Commonwealth.

It’s possible that Two-Faced Terry McAuliffe didn’t want to explain his efforts to “Defund the Police” through his support of eliminating qualified immunity that allows police officers to be personally bankrupted.

Or maybe he didn’t want to explain the time he “redirected” $750,000 in federal funds that would have gone to equipment or training.

Republican Party of Virginia Chairman Rich Anderson issued the following statement:

“It’s no wonder Terry McAuliffe doesn’t have the decency to meet with Virginia’s police officers: with violent crime on the rise, Terry McAuliffe has supported a litany of efforts that serve to defund them. Virginia will be less safe if Terry McAuliffe is elected governor.”
