“Let’s Take Fairfax Back!”

Steve Knotts will succeed Tim Hannigan as chairman of the Fairfax County GOP. Mr. Knotts was elected by acclamation at Saturday’s Fairfax GOP Convention, which drew more than 100 attendees.

Mr. Knotts, who until Saturday’s convention served as the Fairfax GOP’s Sully Magisterial District chairman, hailed the outgoing county chairman for modernizing the organization: “We are in the 21st Century now, and Mr. Hannigan brought us here — we are going to build on that and move forward to elect Republican candidates, not only in 2020 but going ahead.”

If President Trump can win just 40 percent of the vote in Fairfax County, he will carry Virginia, Mr. Knotts told the GOP faithful. “We can make a huge difference in Fairfax County,” the new chairman said. “Let’s take Fairfax back!”
