Remembering Herman Cain

Mount Vernon Republican Steven Mosley launched a new podcast series this summer — Facts, Opinions & Rants with Steven Mosley. In a recent episode, Mosley recalls his first political donation — to Herman Cain for President.

Cain, who died last month after falling ill with COVID-19, was a business leader and tea party activist who ran for president in 2012. He was an early supporter of Donald Trump in 2016, and later served as co-chairman of Black Voices for Trump in 2020.

“Herman Cain was truly the real deal,” Mosley says. “He was honest; he was kind; he was funny; and you can tell he had a heart for people.”
