Presidential Primary Early Voting Opens Friday

Yes, you read that correctly! It may be January, but early voting for Virginians who wish to cast a ballot in the presidential primary will open this Friday, 1/19. The Fairfax County Office of Elections will also start mailing out absentee ballots for those voters who want to vote by mail.

The Fairfax GOP has posted information about the primary, added the schedule for voting, links for voters to register or confirm their information, and to apply for an absentee ballot HERE. We are still recruiting additional Election Officers, who will be needed not only for the presidential primary, but also for the June primary. If you are interested in serving as an Election Officer, you can find more information HERE.

Our listing of all candidates who have filed to run for U.S. Senate and Congress will be coming soon. This year, Sen. Tim Kaine (D) is up for re-election, along with 8th District Rep. Don Beyer (D) and 11th District Rep. Gerry Connolly (D). The 10th District will be an open seat due to Rep. Jennifer Wexton’s decision not to seek re-election. If you are interested in running for office, please contact GOPelections@gmail.com.
