2025 General Election Poll Watcher Shifts

Welcome Fairfax GOP Poll Watchers!  Thanks for signing up to help in the November 4 2025 General Election. If you need to review the Poll Watcher Training or download training slides, videos, report forms, etc., go to the Fairfax Poll Watcher Resources page.

You can sign up below for shifts for Early Voting, Central Absentee Precinct Processing of Mail-in Absentee Ballots, Election Day, and Canvassing after the Election.

• All shifts are 2-4 hours long, depending on the location and the day of the week.
• On Election Day, a Microshifter’s shift is 4 hours long. You will visit 5 neighboring polling places selected for their proximity to each other. (Some are co-located in the same building). You will observe for a shorter period of time (20-30 minutes) and file a shorter report for each location.
• Each shift requires a separate sign up. If a shift has been taken, it disappears from the list at that location. If a location shows no shifts, it means they’re all covered. Please look at other locations!
• After you sign up you will receive a confirmation email with the place, date and time of your Poll Watcher assignment.  You can cancel your shift using the cancellation link in the email.

• The day before your assignment you will receive a reminder email.
