Pat Herrity: Fairfax County’s Voice of Common Sense

Since 2008, Pat Herrity has represented Springfield on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. A fiscally conservative voice of common sense, Herrity brings much-needed balance to a county board that is otherwise dominated by reckless, tax-and-spend politicians.

A new campaign ad touts Herrity’s “proven track record of getting results for the county.” Some of those results include defeating the 10 percent meals tax and reducing the machinery and tools tax on small businesses.

“Since day one I have operated with the mantra of ‘you may not agree with me, but you’ll know where I stand’ and have committed myself to two-way communication with constituents,” Herrity says. “I was the first member of the Board to produce an electronic newsletter, I regularly attend HOA and community meetings, meet with anyone that wants to discuss issues with me, host town halls and community events and am active on social media.”
