Many of you recognize the name of Stephanie Lundquist-Arora, a prolific Fairfax County-based writer and mother, with a laser focus on education. She regularly contributes to publications like The Federalist and Washington Examiner and has written articles for The Washington Times and National Review, among many others. Stephanie does not hesitate to call out the actions of the FCPS Superintendent and School Board, and she fearlessly holds them accountable.
A little over 2 weeks ago, Stephanie learned about a display at West Springfield High School, which her son attends. The display was entitled “ABCs to Me” and, according to school administrators, was intended to commemorate Women’s History Month. “A is for Abortion” is the first letter, and it only gets worse. Each letter represents a word and corresponding image, created by students in a Women’s History class. If the creators of these words and images are representative of the mindset of young women in Fairfax County, we should be seriously concerned.
The first article below is Stephanie’s initial account and describes the West Springfield High School display in detail. In the second article, Fairfax resident, Mark Spooner, reports on Superintendent Michelle Reid’s response to the outrage of parents over the display. Subsequent posts include both national and international coverage of the story.
Even International Coverage
Once again, Fairfax County Public Schools are in the news for all the wrong reasons! Hopefully, when 2027 rolls around, the voters of Fairfax County will finally stand up and say NO MORE to our 100% Democrat-controlled School Board and West Coast Leftist Superintendent.
