Support Pension Reform at Board of Supervisors Public Hearing
4:30 PM, Tuesday, November 20 in the Board Auditorium
Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax
After years of delay, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors is finally ready to make changes to the County’s unsustainable pension plan. In response to the untiring efforts of Republican Supervisors Pat Herrity and John Cook, the Democrat-dominated Board has finally agreed to consider reducing benefits instead of raising taxes.
The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on pension reform at its meeting scheduled for 4:30 PM, Tuesday, November 20, in the Board Auditorium, Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA. Please attend the hearing to applaud speakers who favor sustainable budgets and/or to present your views on this subject.
The Pension Problem. Fairfax County pension plans, which have a $2.2 billion unfunded liability, are unsustainable. Since 2000, county spending on pensions has increased 244% while the number of county employees increased by only 11%. While most private-sector employees no longer get pensions, a county employee with 30 years can retire at age 55 with 90% of salary. Private employers contribute 3% or 4% of an employee’s salary to a 401K, but Fairfax County contributes 27% of salary to the employee’s pension plan.
RNC Committeewoman Cynthia Dunbar to Address SexEd
FCRC Meeting: 7:30 PM, Tuesday, November 13
The 2018 elections are history—time to focus on the 2019 local elections, including the 12-person Fairfax County School Board.
With that in mind, come out and listen to public education expert Cynthia Dunbar discuss the egregious attacks against our liberty, including the attack on our freedom to decide what our children will be taught, at our next FCRC meeting scheduled for 7:30 – 8:45 PM on Tuesday, November 13, at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology Auditorium, 6560 Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA 22312.
A renowned speaker and one of Virginia’s two representatives on the Republican National Committee (RNC), Ms. Dunbar will speak on “The Hand That Rocks The Cradle.” She will address ongoing battles parents face, including Fairfax County Public Schools’ Instructional Services Department (ISD) and its Family Life Education (FLE) curriculum as well as the new assault on our children’s innocence through the potential for exposure to graphic pornography through academic databases.
These are just a few reasons why she drafted and sponsored the RNC resolution requiring a proactive opt-in by parents prior to any child being exposed to such salacious sexual content. The RNC unanimously adopted this resolution.
VOTE CANVASS – WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7 – 9:00 AM
The Election will not be completed on Election Day. On Wednesday, November 7, the election continues with a Vote Canvass of the results reported on election night from the precincts.
The Vote Canvass consists of a detailed review of the paperwork submitted from each precinct to determine that the reported results are correct. (Only the paperwork is examined and the paper ballots are not recounted).
Occasionally, mathematical and transcription errors will be found and the results from a precinct will be changed. In a close election, this could influence the overall results, so this Canvass is critical.
Virginia law states the two political parties are allowed to observe the senior Election Officers who will be conducting the paperwork reviews. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO OBSERVE THIS PAPERWORK REVIEW FOR THE FCRC to ensure that this work is done properly. We will provide instructions to the volunteers, detailing the process and identifying the critical information that must be correct.
The Vote Canvass will be in the Conference Center Room 2/3 on the main floor of the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax 22035.
It will start at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, November 7. The Canvass will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon and then resume at 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. It may continue on to Thursday, if needed.
GOP Voter Turnout in Fairfax County Will Determine the Outcome of Senate & Congressional Elections
Let’s Do Our Part in Continuing Today’s American Prosperity
Election Day is upon us. Our dedicated, energetic, and hard-working candidates have made the case that Republican ideas, policies, and governing practices—individual and property rights, tax cuts, strong defense, secure borders, protection of the unborn, and constitutionally observant justices—will continue the new era of unprecedented American prosperity. And the Democrats have continued to advance the failed policies of high spending and taxation, open borders, government intrusion into individual lives, identify politics, and social experimentation in our educational institutions.
Now is the time for Republicans to surge to the polls and demonstrate commitment to the Republican principles of individual liberty, constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility, national sovereignty, and strong defense.
Republicans must turn out and vote for our GOP candidates or our country, our state, and our county will suffer the effects of

Pollwatching Training Classes this Week
Help Republicans Ensure Integrity of the 2018 Mid-Term Elections
Sign Up for FCRC or RPV Republican Pollwatching Training
The Preferred Method of Pollwatching Training. The Fairfax County Republican Committee (FCRC) and its volunteers must actively participate in efforts to ensure the integrity of the election process. Republicans who serve as county Election Officers are the first line of defense against electoral fraud. They provide the direct operational support on Election Day at the polls, and their willingness to serve is greatly appreciated. Republicans who serve as Party Pollwatchers are the second line of defense. Pollwatchers, officially recognized by Virginia law, are charged with observing the process from inside the polling place and with challenging situations where Virginia law is not being followed.
FCRC has supported the Pollwatching effort since 2012 by conducting training classes and offering a companion Virginia Pollwatchers Guide. These vehicles are updated annually to reflect election law changes. The purpose of these efforts has been

Get the Facts on Bias in Today’s Media From Brent Bozell
Guest Speaker at FCRC Meeting: 7:30 PM, Tuesday, October 16
Partisan Media Campaign to Defeat President Trump and His Conservative Agenda. Most media outlets across the country have joined with partisan leftist organizations in an aggressive effort to resist President Trump’s initiatives to “make America great again” and to minimize, and even distort, the many achievements and successes of the Trump administration.
As most Republicans know, “the media” have engaged in tactics to undermine the conservative movement for many decades, often ignoring or misrepresenting GOP positions and downplaying Republican positions.
Are such claims of media bias true, or do they just reflect the frustration of Republicans when stymied from getting their way in a nonpartisan media environment?
Get the facts on bias in today’s media from L. Brent Bozell III when he speaks at the next meeting of the Fairfax County Republican Committee meeting scheduled for 7:30 – 8:45 PM on Tuesday, October 16, at Luther Jackson Middle School Auditorium, 3020 Gallows Road, Falls Church, VA 22042.
Lecturer, syndicated columnist, television commentator, debater, marketer, businessman, author, publisher, and activist, Mr Bozell is one of the most outspoken and effective national leaders in the conservative movement today.
He is the Founder and President of the Media Research Center (MRC), the largest media watchdog organization in America.
