A graduate of George Mason University, Hoffman Maskeny is a former educator who currently works in media for the special ops community. Now a candidate for Virginia’s House of Delegates, she is driven to share her “experience, strength, hope, and courage by serving the District 7 community on the state level.”

At her website, Maskeny4VA.com, the candidate thoughtfully addresses a wide variety of issues ranging from tax relief to education reform. A common theme is protecting the rights and interests of her fellow citizens. Before voting on any bill, Hoffman Maskeny vows to first ask four questions:

  1. “Is this bill constitutional?”
  2. “Does the scope of the bill fall within the proper roles and responsibilities of the government?”
  3. “What level of government is the appropriate one to address the issue?”
  4. “Does the proposed bill protect individual liberty and private property rights?”

Above all, Hoffman Maskeny promises to listen and give voice to her constituents’ concerns. “It is important to be kind, and respectful. The people in District 7 are like this, I know them and they are great people, smart and kind,” the candidate says. “Together we will come up with reasonable solutions to deal with the problems we face today.”

Virginia’s 7th Delegate District includes Reston, and portions of Herndon, Vienna, and Oakton. Visit Maskeny4VA.com to learn more, donate, or volunteer.
