Joe Galdo Kicks Off General Election, Lays Out Vision for a Better Fairfax

Joe Galdo, the Fairfax GOP nominee for Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, kicked off his general election campaign with a rally on Tuesday night. The event, held inside the Fairfax GOP headquarters, drew several dozens of enthusiastic supporters.

In his remarks Tuesday night, Galdo lamented the county’s many problems, including but not limited to overcrowded classrooms; traffic congestion; bloated budgets; and rising taxes. “The Democrats’ answer is always to spend more of taxpayers’ hard-earned dollars. They never question if their policies are part of the problem,” he said.

Galdo noted that his rival for the chairmanship has been on the Board of Supervisors for more than a decade. “He owns the problems we have in Fairfax County today. I am the candidate of change,” Galdo said. “My campaign is about finding practical, commonsense solutions to the problems we face today in Fairfax County.”
