Former CIA Director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is thanking and praising our troops, while lamenting the Biden Administration’s utter bungling of the nation’s long-awaited military withdrawal from Afghanistan.
“Our young men and women did amazing work there, and it was time to get our team home,” Pompeo tweeted Tuesday afternoon. “We could have done it in a way that would have reflected well on America and would have protected the interests we had.”
On Monday evening, Pompeo told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that Biden needs to be “held accountable” for the ongoing disaster in Afghanistan, “as the result of the decisions he made and the way he executed this withdrawal.”
