Republican Party of Virginia (RPV) State Convention

Format: The convention is drive-thru only.
Date:  Saturday, August 15
Location: National Right to Work Building, 8001 Braddock Road, Springfield, VA  22151
When:  Voting will be open from 9:00am through 3:00pm
  • Voters in line at 3:00pm will be permitted to vote.
Voting Timetable:  To ease traffic, we ask* that delegates come to vote during the following periods based on last name:

9:00  – 10:00              A – B                                     12:00 – 1:00          L – O

10:00 – 11:00              C – F                                       1:00 – 2:00          P – S

11:00 – 12:00pm        G – K                                      2:00 – 3:00          T – Z

*Delegates may vote at any time between 9AM and 3PM

Who May Vote:

The voting site is the designated voting site for all delegates from Fairfax County and Fairfax City.  Delegates from the 8th, 10th, and 11th District portions of Fairfax County will vote at the same location – National Right to Work Building, 8001 Braddock Road, Springfield, VA  22151

  • All registered delegates who have paid the $35 Delegate Registration Fee may vote at the Convention.
  • If you pre-filed to be a delegate with your unit committee and did not pay the $35 Delegate Registration Fee, you may pay online at the RPV website through August 7, 2020, at 5:00pm.
  • If you have not paid by August 7, you may pay at the door on the day of the convention.
Who or What is on the Ballot**:           
RPV Chairman (to be elected by Ranked Choice Voting)
National Committeewoman (to be elected by majority vote)
Presidential Electors (vote for two) (to be elected by plurality vote)

  • Richard Stonage, Jr.
  • E.W. Jackson

** In lieu of in-person speeches, each candidate will be granted the opportunity to submit a prepared video. Submitted videos will be posted on the RPV website on August 11, beginning at 7:30PM. As they are not posted, yet, there is no link to provide.

  • Amendment 2: Unit Chair Caucus
  • Amendment 3: Expanded Affiliate Group Representation
  • Amendment 4: Ethical Conduct Recusals
