Fairfax County Board Adopts Transgender Visibility Day

Last Tuesday, March 19, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors passed a proclamation 9-0 declaring March 31st as Transgender Visibility Day for the first time in Fairfax County. On March 5th, America First Legal filed a lawsuit on behalf of a female FCPS student, who believes her speech is being compelled and religious freedom is being denied due to FCPS gender-inclusive bathroom and pronoun policies. Local news cover from WJLA is linked here:

On Thursday, March 21st, prior to a regularly-scheduled Fairfax County School Board meeting, the Pride Liberation Project organized a rally of students who support FCPS pro-LGBTQ policies and oppose the lawsuit being filed by America First Legal.
