The event will be both a picnic and a book drive for disadvantaged FCPS students. The event begins at 1:00pm and features special guest, Virginia state Senator Siobhan Dunnavant, a leader in the bipartisan effort to reopen Virginia Schools. Dunnavant also serves as a member of the Virginia Education and Health Committee.
A large playground, public facilities, easy parking and lake trails are located adjacent to Shelter A. Admission to the park is free for Fairfax County residents.
