Fairfax County Strategic Plan Virtual Meeting – Dranesville District

Sept 15: Countywide Strategic Plan Virtual Meeting
Please join Supervisor John Foust for a virtual Community Update and Feedback Forum for the Dranesville community on the future of Fairfax County on Wednesday, September 15th from 7 – 8:30 p.m. To register, click here. Note: The meeting will be held through Zoom and registration is encouraged. Those who do not pre-register may use the meeting ID: 824 1333 2847 and the password Dranesv15@ on the time/day of the event.
Through extensive community engagement prior to the pandemic and throughout 2021, the plan charts a path for the future of Fairfax County focused on the following nine priority areas:
  • Cultural and Recreational Opportunities
  • Economic Opportunity
  • Effective and Efficient Government
  • Empowerment and Support for Residents Facing Vulnerability
  • Health and Environment
  • Housing and Neighborhood Livability
  • Lifelong Education and Learning
  • Mobility and Transportation
  • Safety and Security
County staff will provide a brief overview of the process that was used to develop the proposed Countywide Strategic Plan, and participants will engage in an interactive survey and have the opportunity to ask questions. If you are unable to attend the meeting, view a copy of the presentation online. Be sure to also check out the short YouTube video on the nine priority areas and take the fourth community survey (open until September 24). Your feedback will be combined with previous input, analyzed for trends, and shared with the Board of Supervisors this fall.

  • 5/28 – Deadline to register to vote (otherwise, same-day registration with provisional ballot)
  • 6/7 – Deadline to apply for an absentee ballot​
  • 6/8 - One of two Saturdays open for early voting, and additional early voting locations open.
  • Early Voting ends 6/15
  • 6/18 – Election Day
