WHAT: Parents Rally for Common-Sense Education

WHEN: Thursday, May 26 at 5:30 PM

WHERE: Luther Jackson Middle School (3020 Gallows Rd, Falls Church, VA 22042)

Following a moment of silence for the Uvalde victims and their families, local parents will rally to refocus our county’s government-run schools on education, not divisive politics. Rally attendees will hear from a variety of speakers on the topic of woke indoctrination.

Rally organizers are concerned about the school district’s efforts to revise the official student handbook in ways that would codify leftist gender ideology:

• Definitions of words like “misgender” and “deadnaming”
• Disciplinary consequences for K-6 students who don’t use “preferred pronouns” correctly
• Authoritative reference to Regulation 2603 (regarding “gender-expansive” and “transgender” students)

Attendees are invited to “bring their U.S. flags, American spirit, and common-sense values.”

Organizers say they want to send a loud message: “NO to gender ideology, YES to real education!”

Following the rally, attendees might want to stay for the 7 o’clock meeting of the Fairfax County School Board.
