Sept 13 & 15: ActiveFairfax
Virtual Community Meetings
Help Develop a Roadmap for Better Walkways,
Bikeways and Trails in Fairfax County
Fairfax County Department of Transportation has developed a draft vision and goals for future Active Transportation in Fairfax County. The ActiveFairfax Transportation Plan introduces a framework for advancing active transportation that includes an overarching vision statement, goals and objectives that are rooted in the public feedback received in Spring 2021, previous planning efforts and initiatives, and best practices.
  • The Vision Statement will be used as a guide to help Fairfax County make decisions that align with its philosophy and declared set of goals.
  • Goals reflect the desired result that Fairfax County and its partners envision, plan, and commit to achieve.
The Fairfax County Department of Transportation is hosting two virtual community information meetings to discuss the draft vision, goals and objectives:
Monday September 13, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.
Join by phone: 1-844-621-3956, access code: 179 999 6196
Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.
Join by phone: 1-844-621-3956, access code: 179-373-0026
Public input is critical to the success of this planning effort. The public is invited to review the proposed roadmap and share feedback. Public comments are open until September 19, 2021.
For more information about the ActiveFairfax Transportation Plan and the public outreach conducted this year, that was an integral component of the development of the vision, goals and objectives of the plan, go to the project webpage.
