8th Congressional District Convention

2024 8th Congressional District Convention will be held on:

Thursday, April 11th from 6:00 – 8:00pm

Alexandria Knights of Columbus Hall, 8592 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22309

Delegates to the 11th Congressional District Convention will be electing the following:

  • 1 Chair of the 8th Congressional District Committee – 2 year term
  • 3 Members of the Republican Party of Virginia’s State Central Committee – 4 year term
  • 1 Republican candidate for Elector for President and Vice President of the United States, to be voted on in the General Election, November 5th

*** Attention*** You must file to be a Delegate to the 8th Congressional District Convention by March 16th, noon, 12:00pm.  The filing form and instructions are here, https://fairfaxgop.org/2024-conventions/

Candidates for US Senate and Congress will be elected by primary on June 18th.  The filing deadline to be a candidate for US Senate or Congress is April 4th.  If you are interested in running for public office, please contact gopelections@gmail.com.
