Casino Updates: We have been calling attention to plans for a casino in Fairfax County, and now reports are out that a location in Tysons has been identified. Reston residents were vocal early in their opposition (Norestoncasino.org), and were followed by the Vienna Town Council, which was unanimous in rejecting the idea. Most recently, the McLean Citizens Association released a statement expressing their negative views as well, but none of this has deterred Senator Dave Marsden (D-Fairfax) from filing a bill to allow a referendum vote on a casino.
