Chairman Katie Gorka Discusses New Book At Heritage Foundation Event: NextGen Marxism: What It Is and How to Combat It

We are proud to highlight the recent appearance of our Chairman, Katie Gorka, at a Heritage Foundation event, where she discussed her latest book co-authored with Michael Gonzalez. The event, moderated by “America First” host Sebastian Gorka, delved into the pressing issues facing our society today as explored in their book, What Has Happened to America?

Understanding America’s Cultural Changes and Decline

In What Has Happened to America?, Katie Gorka and Michael Gonzalez examine how contemporary society often reduces individuals to their race, ethnicity, or sexual identity, and how radical ideas are being introduced to our children. They also draw attention to the alarming rise of anti-Semitism. Gorka and Gonzalez attribute these issues to Marxism. However, this isn’t the Soviet Marxism of the past, but a new version shaped by European intellectuals, embraced by American student radicals of the 1960s, and disseminated throughout our culture as these radicals became professors, community organizers, and leaders.

The book outlines that the ultimate aim of these new Marxists is to expropriate property, redistribute wealth, enforce central planning, and advocate for collective ownership. Their goal is to fundamentally transform American culture—and they have already made significant strides. By understanding the origins and dissemination of these ideologies, we can better comprehend the challenges our nation faces today and develop effective strategies to counter these detrimental influences.
