A member of the School Board since 2011, Ms. Schultz has taken the lead on the School Board in promoting fiscal responsibility, parental involvement in education decisions and practices, reasonable class sizes, reform of the family life education (FLE) curriculum, and school safety within the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS).
Ms. Schultz will speak on the following topics:

Ms. Schultz is a twice-elected Fairfax County School Board Member for the nation’s 10th largest school district, responsible for a $3 billion annual budget, 189,000+ students hailing from over 200 countries and 40,000 full and part-time employees.
Previously, she was an executive board member on the Fairfax Education Coalition; executive director of the Friends of Community Schools; founding president of the Republican Women of Clifton; senior manager of contracts and negotiation for ORBCOMM LLC; manager of contracts for SAGA SOFTWARE, Inc.; senior contracts representative for Science Application International Corporation; senior contracts administrator for Academy for Educational Development; and headquarters procurement manager for EG&G Dynatrend.
Ms. Schultz has made television and radio appearances and been featured in newspapers championing quality education, parental rights, sound and effective policy development, and fiscally responsible limited government. She was awarded the STAND Award from Bishop E.W. Jackson’s National Awakening Conference and the Courage in Leadership Award of the Year from Virginia Christian Alliance. She holds a B.S. in political science and history from James Madison University.
She has been married to her husband Brian for 26 years, is the mother of four sons who range from college graduate to elementary school-age, and resides in Clifton, Virginia.
Before the presentation by Ms. Schultz and as required by the Republican Party of Fairfax County Plan of Organization, members attending the FCRC meeting will elect officers of the County Committee and the Magisterial District Chairmen.
In his Chair Report, Tim Hannigan will review the plan for restructuring the FCRC in pursuit of unifying and growing the Republican Party in quest of achieving Republican wins in Fairfax County.
Opportunities for signing up as a member of the FCRC and for a wide spectrum of volunteer opportunities will be available both before and after the meeting.
