Here is the truth I woke up to this morning:
In spite of what happened yesterday, all of this is still true. We know this to be true because we know our history; we understand economics. So the question for us today is not whether we will stop believing in these truths, but whether we will stop fighting for them.
Every single person I know who is involved with the Fairfax GOP–whether as a member, a volunteer, a donor, or simply a voter–works for Republican victories because we don’t want our children and grandchildren to be impoverished and enslaved by an all-powerful state. THAT HAS NOT CHANGED.
So our motto for this year ahead should be “Hope Ignites,” which I am borrowing from my friends at Moms for Liberty.
As my husband always reminds me: It is unAmerican to give up.
So as you talk to friends and family today, be a beacon of hope. For your children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews, for all those living under tyranny around the world, be a beacon of hope. For the unborn in Virginia, be a beacon of hope. For our many fellow Americans who are eventually going to have to face the harsh truth that government cannot solve all their problems, let us all be beacons of hope.
I am going to keep fighting for this country that I love, and I hope you will keep fighting alongside me!

Chair, Fairfax GOP
P.S. A huge thank you to the hundreds of you who served during this election as election officers and greeters and GOTV volunteers. I can promise you your presence and your work was a source of hope for many. And a very special thank you to our candidates who ran a good fight! Thank you Bert, Tony, Dave and Arthur!
