42nd District GOP Nominates Steve Adragna for Delegate

42nd District Republicans nominated Steve Adragna for the House of Delegates over the weekend

Candidate to Face Democrat Kathy Tran in General Election

Fairfax, Virginia – 42nd District Republicans nominated Steve Adragna for the House of Delegates over the weekend. The 42nd District includes the Braddock, Mount Vernon and Springfield Districts of Fairfax County. Mr. Adragna is expected to face incumbent Democrat Kathy Tran in the general election.

Fairfax GOP Chairman Tim Hannigan blasted Ms. Tran’s record of “extremism,” in a statement released today. “Kathy Tran is best known for her outrageous defense of late-term abortion and even infanticide,” Mr. Hannigan said. “Ms. Tran’s extremism is not confined to social issues – she is one of just seven members in the House of Delegates to have earned a grade of ‘F’ from the Virginia Chamber of Commerce last year.”

Mr. Hannigan went on to laud Mr. Adragna as a “commonsense, mainstream” alternative to Ms. Tran. “Steve Adragna is a businessman and civic-minded leader with commonsense, mainstream views,” Mr. Hannigan said. “He’s exactly the right man for the job.”

A member of the American Legion and the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Adragna is a U.S. Army veteran who now runs a small business. He lives in Fairfax Station with his wife, Constance, and young daughter, Catherine.
