IMPORTANT DELEGATE AND MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

READ BEFORE YOU FILE:

  • Filing Deadline: Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM (NOON) - No exceptions!
  • BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE FILING FORM, you will need:
    • your registered voter ID number
    • your magisterial district
    • your precinct
  • The same filing form is used for BOTH Delegate filings and applications for membership.

FAIRFAX COUNTY REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE CONVENTION

Every 2 years, the Fairfax County Republican Committee (FCRC) is required to elect a new Chair, and Delegates to the Congressional District Committee Conventions.  Click here for the Official Call.

DATE: Saturday, February 28th from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

WHERE: *** NOTE *** New Location:  Fairfax High School, 3501 Lion Run, Fairfax, VA 22030

FEE: $35.00

VOTING: Only certified Delegates to the FCRC Convention may vote.

CANDIDATES FOR CHAIR: 2 candidates filed by the February 5, 2026 4 PM deadline and qualified for the election.

FAIRFAX COUNTY REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP, 2026-2028 TERM

The Fairfax County Republican Committee (FCRC) operates on a 2-year term.  Every 2 years the FCRC dissolves and reconstitutes its membership.

  • ALL current Members must apply to RENEW membership
  • There are 2 types of Membership:
    • Precinct Level Voting Members - meeting attendance requirement
    • Associate Members (at-large, non-voting) - no meeting attendance requirement
  •  
  • Deadline to apply for Membership is Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM, Noon.  No exceptions!

CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT COMMITTEE CONVENTIONS:

8TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE:

  • The 8th District convention was canceled because only 1 candidate filed for Chair for the 2026-28 term.

10th CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE:

  • Convention date, location, and fee are TBD.
  • Filing fees will be separately collected later, directly by the 10th CD Committee.
  • Delegates will vote to elect a new Chair of the 10th CD Committee for the 2026-28 term.
  • Deadline to apply to be a Delegate is Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM, Noon.  No exceptions!

11th CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE:

The 11th Congressional District Republican Committee Convention scheduled for April 18, 2026 has been cancelled after only one candidate, Matt Braynard, filed for Chair by the February 13th deadline.

Congratulations to Matt on his election as the incoming 11th CD Chair for the 2026-28 term!

We also extend our sincere thanks to outgoing Chair Rosie Oakley for her tireless leadership and dedication to the 11th District GOP over the past two years. Her service has been invaluable to our party.

Q: Do I need to renew my membership even if I was a member in 2024-2026?
A: Yes! There is no auto-renewal. Everyone must reapply.

Q: What if I miss the February 21 deadline?
A: No late filings accepted. Mark your calendar now!
