John Warner, 1927 – 2021
Former Virginia Senator John Warner died earlier this week in his Alexandria home. He was 94.
Warner, a Republican, served five terms — 30 years — in the U.S. Senate. He was particularly known and respected for his expertise in military affairs. A veteran of both WWII and the Korean War, Warner joined the Navy in 1945 and the Marines five years later.

Fairfax GOP Chairman Steve Knotts was on WMAL’s Mornings on the Mall radio program, discussing the vital importance of Georgia’s runoff elections for U.S. Senate, to be held on January 5, 2021. Barring unforeseen changes, the Georgia runoffs will determine the Senate majority.

The Fairfax GOP will host a virtual forum with all three candidates seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in Virginia: Alissa Baldwin; Daniel Gade; and Thomas Speciale.
The virtual forum, moderated by the Fairfax GOP’s Sean Rastatter, will stream live on Facebook this Saturday, May 2, at 7:00 PM.
