Republican U.S. Senate nominee Daniel Gade was on WMAL’s Larry O’Connor Show this week, discussing his campaign to unseat incumbent Democrat Mark Warner. “Mark is a big-government liberal who thinks that everything should come from DC,” Gade said. “That’s what he’s always been.”
During his WMAL interview, Gade stressed that he supports the U.S. Constitution, to include the 10th Amendment, which reserves power for the states and the people. A wounded combat veteran, Gade’s motto is “Same Oath, New Mission.”
Daniel Gade handily won the Virginia GOP nomination for U.S. Senate on Tuesday. The very next day, Gade joined WMAL’s Larry O’Connor to discuss his candidacy and why the incumbent, Mark Warner, needs to go.
“What we need to do is return to our Constitutional founding principles — among those are, of course, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” Gade said.
Representatives Don Beyer (D-VA 8), Jennifer Wexton (D-VA 10) and Gerald Connolly (D-VA 11) are co-sponsors of the Washington, D.C. Admission Act (H.R. 51), which seeks to admit the District of Columbia as the 51st state.
