Youngkin Announces Plan to Invest in All Virginians
On Thursday, political outsider, successful business leader, and Republican nominee for governor Glenn Youngkin delivered remarks outlining his plan for the Virginia budget surplus and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.
Glenn outlined his plan in Richmond at the L. Douglas Wilder Library at Virginia Union University.

Julie Perry, Virginia’s 86th District GOP nominee for House of Delegates, joined WMAL’s Larry O’Connor for a live interview Tuesday morning. Perry, a Fairfax County Public Schools educator, discussed the district’s regrettable embrace of critical race theory.
According to Perry, rank-and-file educators are not driving the new, Marxist-inspired push in district schools. “Teachers are afraid to speak out,” the candidate said. “They are terrified of retaliation.”

My neighbor recently opted out of “Zoom schooling.” In March 2021, after a year of remote schooling and a slow move to a hybrid classroom model, this mom was fed up with the low quality of education her daughter was receiving from the public school system. So, she decided to take advantage of other options. She unenrolled her child from the district school and registered her as a homeschooler, with plans for private school in the fall. A couple of weeks later, another neighbor did the same thing.
