Virginia Police Benevolent Association Endorses Glenn Youngkin
The Virginia Police Benevolent Association (VAPBA) today announced its endorsement of Glenn Youngkin for governor, citing the Republican nominee’s commitment to prioritizing public safety and supporting law enforcement across the Commonwealth. Youngkin sat down with VAPBA representatives in Richmond last week to discuss pressing issues facing Virginia.

Dozens of citizens rallied in support of local police on Saturday, May 22. Several candidates for office were in attendance, including Matt Lang, Kenny Meteiver, and Gary Pan.
The rally, organized by Stand Up Virginia and BLEXIT VA, featured dynamic speakers who stressed the importance of law and order.
Undermining law enforcement puts everyone at risk, Fairfax City Councilman Sang Yi warned.
Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
January 9 is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Established six years ago, the day is meant to honor the men and women in blue who risk their own safety to protect us all.
“Over the past year, our nation’s law enforcement professionals have endured all kinds of unwarranted hostility and disrespect,” Fairfax GOP Chairman Steve Knotts said today. “Now more than ever, we owe them a debt of gratitude.”
In 2020, 307 officers died in the line of duty, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page.

Fairfax Citizens Brave Rain to “Back the Blue”
Fairfax citizens braved the rain Wednesday to “Back the Blue” at Old Town Square in the City of Fairfax. Former Acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Tom Homan rallied the crowd. “When you ‘defund the police,’ you’re taking security and safety from the community,” Homan warned.
Wednesday’s “Back the Blue” event was in response to continued lawlessness around the country.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22 at 6:30 PM at Old Town Square in Fairfax City. There will be a short program starting at 7:00 PM.
