Richard Hayden to Run for House of Delegates in the 44th

Longtime Mount Vernon resident Richard Hayden has issued the following statement:

“I’m not a politician and never expected to be, but I am announcing my candidacy for the 44th House District in the Virginia Assembly today because Richmond politicians are just too out of touch. They refuse to deliver meaningful tax relief and instead have been working on giving us one of the most extreme pro-abortion policies in the nation.

“Look, I am pro-life, but I understand there are people with different views on this deeply personal issue. However, Kathy Tran and Paul Krizek have simply gone too far with this disastrous late term abortion bill that would make it legal to terminate a pregnancy in the third trimester up to and including, and even after, the birth of a child. Enough is enough.”

Virginia’s 44th House District includes Fort Hunt, Hybla Valley, and Mount Vernon.
