Nation’s Youngest Indian American Elected Official Visits Fairfax County
Press Release | Palle for Supervisor
Ohio State Representative Niraj Antani endorsed Srilekha Palle for Fairfax County’s Sully District Supervisor, in a statement released today.
“We need more commonsense fiscal conservatives like Srilekha Palle,” Antani said. “Srilekha understands that government exists to serve the people – not the other way around.”
A rising star in the GOP, Antani is the nation’s youngest Indian American elected official. He is currently running for Ohio State Senate.
“I’m positively thrilled to have Rep. Antani’s endorsement,” Palle said today. “He always votes to put the rights and interests of taxpayers first – and that’s exactly what I’ll do here in Fairfax County.”
Antani headlined a fundraising event for Palle in Fairfax Station on Sunday. In his remarks, Antani lamented his current status as the nation’s only Hindu Republican holding elective office. “I hope to have another Indian Hindu American elected official, so my club of one grows,” he said to a mix of laughter and applause.
For six years, Palle served as president of the Hindu Durga Temple of Virginia, located in Fairfax Station.
