Fairfax GOP Endorses Jonathan Fahey for Commonwealth Attorney

The Fairfax GOP has voted to endorse Jonathan Fahey for Commonwealth Attorney. Mr. Fahey will face Democrat nominee Steve Descano in the general election to be held on November 5th.

“Steve Descano is focused on left-wing ideology, not on public safety,” Fairfax GOP Chairman Tim Hannigan said today. “We need a Commonwealth Attorney who is grounded in reality.”

Mr. Hannigan went on to laud Mr. Fahey‘s background, calling him “exactly the right man for the job.”

Mr. Fahey has nearly two decades of relevant experience in the U.S. Attorney’s Office and in Fairfax County as Assistant Commonwealth Attorney.

“Jonathan Fahey is a mainstream, fair-minded prosecutor who is determined to keep our county safe,” Mr. Hannigan said. “He’s exactly the right man for the job, and we are thrilled to endorse him.”
