Voter Registration Deadline

October 15

Please read the information below carefully.  After October 15th, voters are still able to take advantage of “same day registration”, but your ballot will be provisional.

Voter Registration Deadline (Online or Postmarked by Mail): October 15

Same-Day Voter Registration:

  • October 16-November 2:  Voters may complete a same day registration at any early voting location and vote a provisional ballot.
  • On November 5 Election Day: Voters may only complete a same day registration and vote a provisional ballot at the precinct in which they reside. Find your precinct.
  • Those entitled to extended provisions and alternative methods for voter registration: Members of a uniformed service of the United States on active duty, their spouse and dependents residing with them, and anyone who resides temporarily outside of the United States. Contact the Fairfax County Office of Elections for information.
