Republican Primary Election – Early Voting Begins

May 2 @ 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

2025 Is An Election Year In Virginia

Vote in the Republican Party Primary!

Early Voting begins on Friday, May 2nd and ends on Saturday, June 14th.

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, June 17th

Virginia Voters DO NOT register with a party.  Virginia primary elections are “open” to any registered voter; you may vote in either party’s primary, but not both.

You can vote by:

  • Absentee ballot (return by mail, drop box)
  • Early in person
  • In person on Election Day, June 17th – voters MUST vote at their local polling place

Fairfax County’s Office of Elections will begin mailing out absentee ballots to all voters who are on the Permanent Absentee Ballot List, and those voters who have applied for an absentee ballot, on May 2nd.

You need to indicate which party’s primary absentee ballot you want to receive.  Check your registration here: https://vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation/Lookup/status

Vote early in person at the Fairfax County Government Center, Mt. Vernon Governmental Center or North County Governmental Center.  Check back for exact hours as they vary by location.

Additional early voting sites will open throughout Fairfax County in early June.  The last day to vote early in person is Saturday, June 14th.
