Public Hearing on Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s Revised History and Social Science Curriculum

March 14, 2023 @ 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

When:  Tuesday, March 14 @ 7:00 PM

Registration for Speakers: 6:30 PM

Where:  George Washington’s Mount Vernon,  3200 Mount Vernon Memorial Hwy, Mount Vernon, VA

The Virginia Board of Education has passed Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s revised set of history and social science curriculum standards by a vote of 5-3. This is a big win for common-sense education and a major defeat for those who would impose an ideologically radical and biased teaching of history on our public schools. You can read the new standards here.

The next step will be public hearings throughout the Commonwealth, including one in Northern Virginia at Mount Vernon on Tuesday, March 14, at 7:00pm. Please attend if you can. Registration for speakers will begin at 6:30 pm and speakers will have three minutes to comment.

You can find all the details about the public hearings at the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall website.
