Fairfax City Independence Day Parade

July 4 @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

March with the Fairfax City Republicans in Virginia’s largest July 4th parade!

WHEN:  Thursday, July 4th from 10:00am – 12:00pm, rain or shine!

WHERE: Downtown Fairfax

Fairfax GOP members and volunteers are invited to march with our Republican candidates.  Please contact the campaigns if you plan to attend:

Position Number #606
Report to parade line up by 9am; prior to 9am is also allowed !
Parade Divisions 4, 5, AND 6 will line up in the Massey Building Complex parking lot located at Page Avenue & West Street (same as years past.)

Parade participant parking
enter via Rt. 236/Main Street and Judicial Drive, turn left on Page Avenue, go straight following signs identifying Divisions 4, 5, and 6 to large parking lot on the left.

Parade participant vehicle drop-offs
enter the parade line-up area via Rt. 236/Main Street and Judicial Drive, turn left on Page Avenue, either use Parking Garage B or continue to the intersection of Page Avenue and West Street, UNLOAD THE PARTICIPANT, exit line-up area by turning left on West Street, turn left on Rt. 236/Main Street. PARTICIPANTS need to walk to the appropriate line-up area. (see attached map)

NOT/Allowed
-NO Fairfax GOP banners, only Fairfax City!
-No stopping once the parade has begun…or future parade participation is at risk !!
-NO throwing CANDY OR ANYTHING from the parade route into the crowds!

YES/Allowed
-Small handheld US flags ok — NO large flags to obstruct views 🇺🇸
-Candidate 2 x 1.5 signs and appropriate t-shirts

The Fairfax GOP Office will be open on 7/1 & 7/3 from 10:00am – 4:00pm if you want to pick up small flags and/or candidate signs.

  • 6/7 – Deadline to apply for an absentee ballot​
  • 6/8 - One of two Saturdays open for early voting, and additional early voting locations open.
  • Early Voting ends 6/15
  • 6/18 – Election Day
