Chris Bowen Launches Bid for Soil & Water Conservation Board

We received the following announcement via Bowen for Fairfax

On Wednesday, May 1st, Christopher Bowen announced his candidacy for the Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Directors. This is one of three county-wide positions for which the Fairfax County Republican Committee can choose to endorse up to three candidates. All candidates for the Board run as independents.

Mr. Bowen works at a large information technology company as Counsel. Prior to joining taking this position, Mr. Bowen worked at Arent Fox LLP, and in the National Courts section of the Department of Justice. At the DOJ, Mr. Bowen was involved in several land-use cases involving soil erosion and storm water management issues, coordinating with the Environmental Protection Agency, the Environmental Natural Resources Division and state and local entities.

Mr. Bowen believes that Fairfax County residents deserve the best guidance on conserving our soil and water resources, and is a firm believer in citizen engagement at all levels of government. He looks forward to learning about your concerns and hopes to earn the FCRC endorsement on May 21st and your vote on November 5th.
